The DREAMWALKERS梦游行者
The Dreamwalkers is fronted by three girls, and its preference of music inclines towards genres such as pop, R&B and jazz. With just two voices and a keyboard, it may not be a full piece band, but it is through such simplicity that the music produced is strong, clear and compact.This May, catch them in action in 实在歌手大考验 on 5th & 19th (SAT).

Did not manage to update the blog....
Been really caught up with arranging all the performers' schedules....and photoshoots!!!
Yeah~~~ We are doing alot of photoshoots for all the performers..as we are designing and printing all the posters for all the live shows we are having during the weekends..
Ya know, a lot of work has to be done...all from the designing of the posters, editing of photos, brainstorming for show names, creative work in copywriting.......hahaa...the list can go on and on!
Anyway, when all the posters' designs are launched, I bet you will experience a brand new HARK! Ohya...we are also sooo busy with our new website! We are really excited and eager to show our new website to you guys...but wait, wait.....we gonna have patience for good things! Haha...
Ohya...talking about the performers, we now have another nod from one of our very talented singer.......................................ALEX TAN a.k.a. Chen Kai Liang! YiPPeE~~~ *wink!**wink!*In a few days time, we will be revealing some of our Live Show Themes... so you guys better come back often to the blog for the latest updates! A peek for you on what we will be having in our Live Shows...1. We will still be having Live Band Karaoke (yippee! for singers! we want you back!).2. We will also have our Artistes-In-Progress performances, where audiences will be the evaluators! You determine their X-factor, you play a part to see if they can be offered Hark Artiste Contract where they get to have overseas development and have an original song written specially for their personality and voice, and best, broadcast to the radio! *Wow...*3. We have invited some very talented local bands, bringing you many hits, and singing them in their own ways! You should not miss their performances!...and all these brought to you FREE in May!!!!

Yeah~~~I have just changed our BLOG's background...Spent about 1 hour to change it....cause photobucket's giving me problems!!! Made me look all over for the 'bug'...when I still can't find the bug....I decided to switch to another image hosting site...Then, everything just works well!!! Most major renovations are done!
We are now, waiting for new furnitures to come down..and ya know, the best thing for you guys is most of the seatings will be sofas..with comfy cushion back rest, and all views will be facing the stage!
Right! No more turning your back to face the stage, no more turning your neck to enjoy the performances! All theatre seats! Wow..wow..wow.....yeah...yeah...yea.... :)
And all shows in May are FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shawn Tan (our suave, mesmerising lead guitarist! he already sweeps couple of girls off their feets!)
Patrick Goh (our 'Thai' pianist..He's got great shaking heads & legs while playing the keyboard...) Xin Yun (a small 'girl' with a big voice! It's so hard to get her sing...and it's so great to know that she'll be singing in May!)
Eddie Tan (our 情歌王子 ...cool, rugged, sporty guy but with a voice soooo gentle that can melts all hearts~~~)
And......There'll be performances from our Artistes-In-Progress from our 实在歌手Artiste Development Course. These artistes (altogether 12. revealing them in May) are specially picked and selected from our Music Director! Look out for their performances and you'll be the judge for their popularity test!
We will update immediately when we've got 'new' nods!
For the Private Launch Shows, we are giving privilege, first hand tickets to YOU!!!! You will be the first to step into the Performing Studio and enjoy our very first show!

A Quick Quick Update
Yoz guys.....A short post, just a quick update.The renovation is 95% completed. We will be doing a lot of tidying up now.Want to take some little peek???
Our reception area.... (unfinished yet...of course...)This reception area will display many of our Show's posters and highlights.We will have Live Shows at specified show times...so, you don't get to miss out of the 'good stuffs'! Each show program is carefully planned, so you definitely get inspired and excited! And there is going to be 2 shows per night to enjoy! It's just like a mini-Esplanade...In future, we will be inviting local bands, letting them to use the Performing Studio to showcase their talents too!

On Thursday and Friday...the carpenters, the carpet pple, the painters, the electricians...all came together...Wah.... 打仗 ah....There're still some furnitures and equipments around (eh...not some..actually quite alot...)...So, it's rather troublesome..'cause gonna move them one side, then lay the carpet, paint, fix lights.... Move them again, and lay the carpet, paint, fix lights...extra work for them....(er.....:P)We are now in the midst of planning all the music shows.Tiring but exciting job! .... coordination....coordination.....Coordination!!Tentative Plans: - Live Shows on every Friday and Saturday.- 2 shows per night. - First show starting at 7.30pm! (Yeah..no need to wait till 9pm to enjoy the shows...)Private Launch Shows: 27 April (FRI) & 28 April (SAT)*Invited guests only.*Officially OPEN Shows: 4 May (FRI) & 5 May (SAT)*Reservation recommended.* (Until now, i still hear that it's free....hope it stays this way... :) )Excited? ..... A little revelation on our transformation!
Hey... Probably you guys have not been up to our school premises, ya??This entry gonna bring you up to the reception counter of our school!Wondering, why out of sudden, feature this?? Well, cause it's going through a make-over too!Hark Music is going through a transformation in April 2007. This news has been released in March 2007. Currently, the place is still in progress... and probably, most people thought that the only main change is the cafe.....but actually it's much more~~~~~
Our 2nd storey Reception Area - This is our 'old' logoThe new one will be installed on Friday.Yes, we are mainly renovating the 1st storey..some changes will be done to the 2nd storey too.
Most importantly, we will be launching a new corporate identity, a new website, whole new direction, a new place for music lovers in Singapore to promote your talents!
I reckon most of you will be scratching your head..kinda get it...kinda don't get it....
Well, it's usual, it's common! 'Cause this is going to be something revolutionary!

We are working very hard now to plan, pave out and lay the route for young talented music people out there. In not very long, I believe you guys will slowly understand what it's going to be.
To make it real simple, it is not just Hark Music School, OR Hark Music Cafe...
Hark Music is a Music Company, that provides integrated services and facilities..and we path out realistic routes for learners, aspiring singers, musicians, engineers, performers!
This is our new logo. Mosaic'ed'.....'cause this is not the time to reveal yet!

Well.. initially wanted to upload more renovation pictures...but I reckon, they all looked 'sama sama'...and looked very dull...so I guess I shall just not upload any more 'gloomy' looking photos...In a few days time, the photos taken should be much more nicer...cause new carpet and paints should be done already! I think I shall upload more after that ba...These few days, we are 'struggling' with out new collaterals.....soo much work but sooo little time....well, I guess life's like that, right? We are always never enough of anything...hmmm...vicious cycle.... Hahaa..Meanwhile, we are also churning out a new website..which will boost more interactivity to surfers like you! and I bet it will be a whole new experience for all of ya...Plus, we'll be sharing learning articles and lyrics/chords!!!Ya like that? :)

Today is the 2nd week of renovation.
New Aircons will be installed today.
New Paints will be splashed on the walls on Wed.
New reception counter will be ready on Fri.
New Signages will be up on Sat.The place should be roughly ready in next week. But of course, there's still plenty of packing and unpacking to be done. Tired~~~~Here's something to make ya people excited!!!.....Our first opening show should be in the last week of APRIL (if nothing goes wrong, again!)!!! So, that means it will be on 27 Apr, Friday.....and.....*shhhh*....I eavesdropped....and heard that, the show will be FREE ENTRY!!!Ehhh...but I still not sure lah...I will try get the confirmation of the opening show as soon as possible and break good news to all of YOU!!!!
Reno Fifth or Sixth Day?? ....Whatever....!

Let's hear the story:....
On Thursday, the partitioning guys says they will be coming back on Friday to finish their job, and they need the electrical guys to come down too... Ok, fine. We called the contractor....called the contractor....called the contractor....no response...sms the contractor...sms the contractor...SMS the contractor...NO REPLY!
Ok...getting a little frustrated..as the schedule are all not on time, and the guy seem a little not professional after getting the MONEY $$$....we sent him an email stating all the timeline, and the completion date..
After that, we called him, called him, sms him...still no response. Actually, he was supposed to meet us on site on Thursday at 11am..in the end, he didnt show up without a call/sms.
Fine. Anyway, we came back on Friday as mentioned at 9am for the partitioning guys. We waited, we waited, we waited, we WAITED!! In the end, the partitioning & electrical guys came at 3pm!
WAH~LIAOZZZZ~~~~~~~ **Of course they have REASONS but......shall not discussed here....else, this story gonna take long long.......**
What a 'GOOD' Friday. Neber mind....we endured...what other kind of hardship have we not endured? Hahaaa...Anyway, just leave frustration aside...never let it affect our work!

This will sure inspire you to learn music.. ah haaDo you know we are soo proud of our music school? We have many many students from other so called 'established' schools (we have been ard for 8 yrs, more than many of them!).....and all of them felt this is where they learnt most from and improved most. The best thing is, all our instructors are sincere...
That's why, without much marketing, our school always have a steady stream of students. From words of mouth and steady followers.....we even have our students who took up one course after another...Do you know these people followed us from our very first premise in Serangoons, to New Bridge Road, to where we are today at Prinsep Street! We salute them!
In not very far from now, we will be much stronger and bolder! :)

Renovation Fourth Day: What to do without Hark this weekend?
Today is the Fourth Day.....we are getting tired already....Everyday wake up early, sleep late.....getting lethargic already........but........hey.........tomorrow is GOOD FRIDAY!! Yeah! Hope to get more rest! You guys must be having a great mood today, right? Hey, another long weekend leh.... Must get enough rest wo... For those who already grew accustomed to coming to Hark every Friday & Saturday, this will be the first weekend without us. Hmmmm......It's ok...we know you can sure find other great stuffs to do!

One..... Meet up with your Hark Kakis and have a evening outing.....gossiping, talking, laughing, chatting and imagining the new look of Hark!

Five..... Read this Blog all over again from the very first post... Since the birth of this blog, altogether, there are 4 writers...Once, our master pianist, Yuhong (mostly performing on SAT shows and Live! 比一比GrandFinals), did this role for a few entries..as a guest writer! Go and dig that article out!
Six..... Stay home on Saturday night and catch 我猜我猜我猜猜猜 at 12am. Pick up some talking skills from Jacky Wu, and get prepared to 'fight' back Amos' sword-bearing hosting with your newly picked up skills.. See if you can 'suan' him back....(*Weicai still struggling till now...maybe he realli cant fight Amos back..哈哈哈！)
OkOk...enough ideas already....I can't think anymore now..if you guys have good ideas to share, post it at our shoutout!
Here's some updates from the renovation..Electrical works are all done now. Partitions will be up today. We are packing the performing stage today...This is a very tiring task as all the equipments are really heavy.
If you are wondering what are the partitions for.....let you know something very interesting...we are building a Recording Studio/Room! Slowly...Slowly...you will see the BIG Picture!
