Questions like:
1. If people don't like your face...and tells you that it's ugly..what would you do or say to that person?
2. If you are walking on a street and someone comes up to you and ask..."Eh..你整容啊"? How would you react?
3. If someone approaches you, and ask you to be a model and need to reveal "三点"s....你肯不肯？
4. Why you wear SUPERMAN belt every week? (Eh....actually, this questions is thrown by an audience!Hahaa...)
Hmm...all these are done to 考验 on their 'talking' skills....letting them learn how to present themselves well! This coming SAT..they will be doing something more challenging! They will be pairing up within themselves to introduce each other. Let's 期待！
So far, in just 3 weeks of performances, we can see that the AIPs (Artistes-In-Progress) have been improving by leaps and bounds! Their singing skills has improved under our pressure...they are also more aware of their performing etiquette and personal grooming.
We have put in many many efforts helping them to grow and blossom into a Recording/Performing Artiste.
Their training is on every Sunday afternoon, starting at 3pm. The weekly lesson was planned held for about 2 hours....but every Sunday...it will definitely stretched into 7~8pm....That's 4-5 hours! That's how committed we are to help our Artistes!
Every Saturday, rehearsals starts at 5pm...and ends right up to 8pm! Yes, that much effort were put into bringing a good show to all of you!
Coming up soon for the plans is they will be entering the recording studio very soon....
We are planning to let them handle and sing demo songs which are suitable for their voices.
This is to test on their vocal handling in a recording studio..
Exciting, ba......!!!
Okok...Let's talk about last week's performance...
As mentioned before, they did a different song genre for last SAT performance. Some did R&B, some did HIP HOP, some did Pop Rock, some did Folk ROck!......(Wah...so many styles...I also 乱了..)
We have many laughs during the night...some started from the talkative Weicai...who blabbered on like no one's business which 'irritated' Mr AMOS.....some from the audiences' participation in giving the AIPs feedbacks and throwing them questions...
So, I would say it's rather light-hearted to spend the evening here at Performing Studio @ Hark
Here's how the AIPs performed last week.
FIONA
She did a rather good breakthrough by rapping her song! And definitely...she has improved in her dressing to make her stand out more from the rest....Good..Keep it up! But go on and explore more in your dressing and grooming.
SARAH
Overall...she still emits the 'blur' feel to the audience..Hmm..it can be good and bad..it gonna depends how the audience/listeners percieve that....She got to buck up on her stage presence, which is lacking during her ROCK version of 一个像夏天一个像秋天.. Her eye contact was a little 'lost'.....加油！加油！
YINGZHI
She's got stable stage presence in singing...but once she talked, ehh....ehhhh...ehhh....alot of ehhhs..ahhhsss will come out!!! Hmm..that shouldn't happen! Yingzhi emits a character singer look and feel...her distinctive voice also sets her apart easily from other AIPs...So...maintain your character! Don't become 'soft soft' and have that intimidated look in you!
JUNMING
He did well in his ROCK delivery of 自导自演的悲剧. His voice control was much powerful and bright compared to his normal singing...I think he did best among the AIPs that night for the different genre delivery. Good job, man!
JOANNE
No doubt Joanne always managed to carry across as a very approachable gal. This week, I feel she did not manage to deliver her song well. Her Pop Rock version of 隐形人 lacks groove..and it was pitchy all over. She didn't manage to capture alot of good nods that night... Work harder, girl!
KENNETH
He got a unique sounding voice that always leave a deep impression in many for sure. Now, he gonna work and practice more than that. Having just an unique voice is not enough to last...That's just good for first impression. He still got to improve his projection and stage presence. And...he always 'stared' at people on stage...hmm...no good..no good...
RYAN
Many praised his rapping for 七里香！So, a DANCE version was also thrown to him! I would say he did fine for that as well.... He came across as not fashionable enough...so he gonna work on his dress sense.
ELYSE
Till now, many people probably still cannot figure if she's a shy gal or a 'dao' gal... So, her personality at the moment is still not strong enough. Vocally, she's one of the stronger ones...so no doubt, people always remember her for a strong, clear, studio quality voice. At only 19yrs old, you stand a good chance to have a break but gonna work harder on your personality and stage presence too...
LEONARD
He got a strong, ABC accented voice....His playful personality can put a smile easily on people's face. He kinda found his personality...but gonna see how audience take that.
So...the top 3 scorers last week were ELYSE, KENNETH, LEONARD.
Hmmmm.....same as the week before.....We hope all the AIPs have more fighting spirit to push yourself even further!
