Our 1st Live Show: FRI.Open Mic
All right....yesterday was our Very 1st Live Shows conducted to about 70 strong audiences.Hmm...I would say it was really a fruitful experience...and it's so great to see so many familiar faces again in this new place!
Many of the performing items last night may be what you have experienced in the cafe before but now it's just in a different environment..a different feel...a different expectation...a different feel.
As we have taken away the F&B part, now when you come to this place, your intention is only to come and enjoy to a good music show.
All performers of the evening commented the sound acoustics & system was a BIG improvement from previous set-up...and listeners was feeling so shiok on the sounds that they hear. (yea! That's one of our major intention in renovating the place! We achieved it!)
Yesterday's shows was a little short, which lasted for about 1 hour...
Fret not guys, from next week onwards, we are aiming for at least 1.5 hours show.
We need to have more feedbacks and ideas from you guys...and we are gonna present more interesting stuffs to you guys soon!!!
Alright...let's do a run-through on yesterday's show (for the benefit of those who were not here!)
Amos aka Anwen安文 started the show by performing a series of medley of his 'well-sang' hits!

With an ensemble of only a guitar and keyboard and a electronic drum machine, the music arrangement already sounded really full!
Afterwhich, Amos aka Anwen安文 did an simple introduction to thank everyone for their presence...cracked some small little jokes..as the atmosphere did seem a little 'cold' cause it was an unfamiliar place to all...and the seating arrangement was so much more different from previously where you can chit-chat, drink, eat, laugh laughly with your friends....
And of course...the audience was tickled, but all laughed with 'manners'...Haha..kekeee...not LOL LOL!
Next up, we invited Vynson to start the show's ball running...He's the first singer of the night.
Forever playful and full of crazy ideas, he sabo-ed his 'so-called' brother - "Lim Zhao Hui aka Philip Lim" (Vynson's Chinese name is Lin Zhaoyu) to sing an duet 你那么爱她 with him! It was completely unplanned! Sporting Philip went up the stage and nailed the song effortlessly!
Next up, Vynson also did a song from 王杰-忘了你，忘了我。。。。(a very sad song.....as usual 王杰style..)

Without losing the opportunity..(eh....actually we wouldn't lose the chance to call him up on stage lah....he's such as flasher! He'll sure volunteer him!), we called him up on stage...with his signature 'bluetooth' electric guitar... Guess what the first thing that he said on stage..................为什么没有酒喝？

Doing his “烂”人情歌。。。Amos aka Anwen commented that his guitar skills improved...(or maybe is the sound system, better?)
With Ah How's appearance and his great entertaining skills....audiences are sure enjoying themselves away......! See, all smiles on faces....
Since it's an FRI.OpenMic, we are gonna invite some singers from the audience to bring us their best-sang hits..

Hey hey.....FINALLY.....our '压奏’of the night...ALEX TAN.....
The great music arrangements, the great vocals, and...no need to mention the great sound system/acoustics, right..haha....anyway, was a blast and the most happening moment of the night! The great sound/music was simply awesome!
Alex bought us 吻别 ROCK，天天想你，背叛Unplugged version (a last min requested song from audience).....
Yea Yea...that's what happened in a short music evening.....
Tonight will be our 12 Artistes-In-Progress performances...Audience will be the evaluators and vote for their favourites!
